Think Pink ~ A collab kit 4 Charity

Mothers, daughters, sisters, friends... The women in our lives mean to much to us. Show them your love with this purchase of Think Pink. Proceeds go towards the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer to help treat, prevent and ultimately cure this disease. The world is full of amazing people and the digital scrapbook community is no exception! Several designers and store owners have volunteered to help design a Breast Cancer wareness themed scrap kit to help raise funds for this cause.  You can get it now @ Digital Candy.

Here are some layouts that I made using this wonder kit.  On August 8, 2008 I lost one of my bestfriends to breast cancer.  She had been fighting the fight for over a year and on Aug 8th she lost that fight.  She left behind a husbanc and three beautiful girls.  The photos in the layouts are from the 2008 Support Connection Walk.  A local not for profit who supports woman who are affected by breast cancer and ovarian cancer as well as their families.  These layouts are from that walk.  The first walk we all participated in to remember Mary Ellen instead of in Honour of.

Best Friends

Athough Shannon and Nicole have really only been friends for a little over a year, and bestfriends at that, you would never know it.  It seems like they have known each other for a life time.

This layout was created using the new collaboration kit by steel city scraps and christie lemmons call In Dreams available at Digital Candy.  I just love the blue and green of this kit.  The papers are really fun to work with.  Go check it out for yourself.

Cousins

Shannon and Kayla are not just cousins but friends. They are only two months apart and have always been close. I used the kit Because You Love Me by Christy Skaggs I just love the shades of brown and pink in this kit. This layout was also created on of the templates from Andrea Golds grab bag #13. You can check them both out at GDS.

The Crowns

We surprised Shannon for her 16th birthday and took a group of her friends out to dinner at Brodies.  The tradition for our family is that you have to go to Brodies on your birthday weekend to get the traditional Brodies Crown, the "take home tin".  The girls convenienced Matt to wear Shannon's crown while she worn the Brodies Crown.

I used the kit Something Cutsie by Lemmon City Productions, a collaboration of steel city scraps and Christy Lemmon Designs. This is a fun kit to work with.
